Can we afford this on our committee budget?

What about GoCardless fees?

GoCardless charges 1% + 20p per transaction (capped at £2). For a £50 monthly subscription, that's 70p. No monthly fees, no setup costs, no minimums. Significantly cheaper than card payments (2-3%) and far more reliable than standing orders.

What if we need to cancel?

No lock-in contracts. Cancel any time with one month's notice. Your data remains accessible for 90 days after cancellation, giving you plenty of time to export everything if needed. No exit fees.

What about committee handovers?

Role-based access means new treasurers can be productive from day one. Complete audit trail of all financial activity. No spreadsheets to hand over, no knowledge lost. Everything documented and accessible.

Is our club data secure?

Is the Starter plan really free?
Yes. The Starter plan is completely free for clubs with up to 50 members. There are no hidden fees, no credit card required, and no time limit. You can use it for as long as you like.
Why is Swimly cheaper than competitors?
We use a flat-rate pricing model rather than charging per member, which keeps costs predictable as your club grows. We built Swimly with modern technology from the ground up, so we do not carry the legacy overhead of older platforms. Most importantly, transparent pricing builds trust with volunteer treasurers. No hidden setup fees, no per-transaction charges, no surprise costs at renewal. What you see is what you pay.
Can I switch between plans at any time?
Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your club dashboard. When upgrading, you get immediate access to the new features. When downgrading, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Are there any per-member fees?
No. Every plan has a flat monthly rate regardless of how many members you have within your tier. We believe swim clubs should not be penalised for growing.
How does billing work?
Plans are billed monthly by Direct Debit or card payment. You can cancel at any time and your access continues until the end of the billing period. We do not lock you into annual contracts.
What happens if my club grows beyond the member limit?
We will notify you when you are approaching your plan's member limit. You can upgrade to the next tier at any time. We will never cut off access or disable features without giving you plenty of notice.
Do you offer discounts for annual billing?
We are planning to introduce annual billing with a discount in the future. For now, all plans are billed monthly to keep things simple and flexible.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Direct Debit (via GoCardless) and all major credit and debit cards. Direct Debit is the simplest option for UK clubs as payments are collected automatically each month.
